Why is reading "more", you might ask? I think Dr. Seuss said it best when he wrote:
'The more that you read,
The more things you will know.
The more that you learn,
The more places you'll go!'
And why is it "less"? Because these books are used, it's cheaper than ever to read English books in Gothenburg! With the exception of Children's, Classics, and How-To books, we have fixed rates for pocketbooks (50kr), paperbacks (75kr) and hardcovers (100kr) - some of which are basically brand new, while others are, shall we say, a little more loved (don't worry - they're discounted accordingly!). About the Owner
Hej! I'm Stephanie Coughlan, a dual American/ Irish citizen who moved to Gothenburg in 2017.
I love the city, but as a bookworm with a preference for physical books, I have struggled to find affordable titles in English to sustain one of my favorite hobbies. So after reassessing my life during Covid, I decided to quit my job in finance, go back to school for English literature, and ultimately, open a used English bookstore in Gothenburg.
In my free time, I love to read, write, crochet, quilt, travel, and hang out with friends, family, and my cat, Louise. To supplement my income, I also work as a freelance copywriter, so feel free to reach out if you need help with your new or existing business! Or - of course - if you just want to chat about books!
